Hamish is a farm boy from the Riverina and his love of machinery led him to a degree in Mechanical Engineering at Monash University, and studies in Project Management at the University of Adelaide. His career included supervising design projects for the Thales Australia’s Bushmaster (arguably Australia’s most technologically advanced vehicle), but he’s now done full circle, and he is back working in the field he loves – agriculture. As Managing Director, Hamish is focussing WEED-IT squarely at his passion – identifying, developing and implementing solutions that make Australian farming more efficient and sustainable.
Ryan Cale

Ryan learnt the ropes of broadacre cropping working on large scale farms in the WA wheatbelt – and followed through on his passion with an Advanced Diploma of Mechanical Engineering at the Engineering Institute of Technology. With more than a decade of experience in the field, Ryan works alongside manufacturers, dealers and farmers, on-farm and remotely, repairing, calibrating and assembling agricultural technology.

Mark is WEED-IT’s Territory Manager for Vic, WA and SA. A science graduate, Mark’s happiest on-farm and at demos and displays of WEED-IT technology, in partnership with our dealers and Original Equipment Manufacturers. Mark, who worked previously at Agriculture Victoria, has found a perfect fit, combining his passion for Ag-Tech with identifying best-fit solutions for farmers at every level.

Thijs Van Harten

After working with Rometron in the Netherlands, Thijs brings inside knowledge of WEED-IT technology – and a real passion for optimising performance in the paddock.
From Toowoomba to Busselton to Bendigo, he’ll be helping farmers and dealers with technical support, system optimisation and new DASH features
Thijs is no stranger to Australia either – having previously completed his thesis here with WEED-IT.

Damian started with the team mid 2024. Having 25 years experience as a boilermaker across various machinery sectors, Damo has a very healthy bank of skills. Completing his apprenticeship with Sherwell Manufacturing in Nhill back in the early days, Damo is well versed in the rigors of agriculture. A Wimmera boy with a knack for problem solving Damo has blended in beautifully with the engineering team, having made a huge contribution to our retrofit work since coming on board.
